Walking shoes buying guide

Walking is one of my favorite exercises. It is easy on the joints and yet provides good results when it comes to weight loss but to walk efficiently you got to buy the right walking shoes and for that you need to know what to check out in a shoe that is exactly what I have covered for you in this article.

Lower Heels

If you want your shoes to be comfortable when you walk at a fast pace or when you go the extra mile then make sure your shoe does not have high heels. An ideal walking shoe will have a heel of not more than an inch but make sure you do not end up buying too low a heel either.

Before you buy check out all the information about the shoes online. Usually companies do provide the heel drop measurement.

Avoid flare

If you have a running shoe you would have noticed that it comes with a flared heel which is ideal for running but if you want effective walking workouts then avoid buying shoes with flared heels. The lesser the amount of flare the easier your walk will be. This is because when you walk it is your heel that comes into contact with the floor first.
